Ingredients required for steamed momos:
2 cups flour to make dough
1/2 kg. chicken/mutton/ pork mince ( as per your choice)
2 large onion (chopped very fine)
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. chilli sauce
1 tsp. freshly ground pepper
3 tbsp. vegetable oil /sunflower/mustard oil (as per your choice)
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1/2 tbsp momo masala or garam masala
1/2 tbsp ghee
ajino moto(optional)
salt to taste
how to make steamed momos:
Step 1: Making dough:
- Mix the flour with pinch of salt and add a little water at a time to make a stiff dough.
Step 2: Mince Mixture preparation
- take the mince and add chopped onion to it
- Add the garlic -garlic paste to it
- Add the soy and chilli sauces and mix well.
- Add the fresh pepper, powders,masala,ghee,salt to taste and mix well.

Step 3: Filling process:
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll into very thin circles of roughly 3-4" diameter.
- Dab a tiny bit of water on the edges of the circle. Put a tablespoon-full of mince mixture in the centre of each circle.
- Fold the edges over the mince mixture and pinch and twist to seal .
- Place the Momos in a steaming dish /momo vessel

- Pour 1/4 water in the below momo vessel/steaming dish and heat till it gets proper vapour.
- keep the folded momos in the upper steaming dish and cook it for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Serve the steamed momos with tomato achaar or momo chutney 👍👍👍
